CHURCH HISTORY

About twenty-two (22) years ago, Rev. Emmanuel Karikari Kankam with small members of 12 people, met at Nii Boy Town, a suburb of Accra, at the premises of Mrs. Elizabeth Mensah under a palm nut tree from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a sermon under the theme LET US START AND BUILD (Neh 1:17-18). We later on located the church to one Madam Ama Dufie's house for a period of time, and after her death, we were dismissed.

And the church became stranded, so the best option was to get a small plot of land, and by the Lord's doing, we bought two pieces of land at Achimota, a suburb of Accra. Though we were little, we were able to raise a story building foundation, and through that, an estate developer with his huge amount of money paid the landowner and took away our property. Due to this horrible situation, all the church members scattered and left one Mr. and Mrs. Bowman.

Later on, the founder and leader of the church, Rev. Emmanuel Karikari Kankam, owned a Toyota Camry car but sold it to buy two pieces of land at Domeabra, Greater Accra Region, for the church on 19 May 2021. And by the grace of God, the church is moving on with some branches without pumping.

SIGNS AND WONDERS : Through Christ Jesus, the man of God (Rev. Emmanuel Karikari Kankam) healed two mad persons in 2012. The man of God raised the dead through the power of the Holy Spirit, healed the sick, the barren became fruitful, deliverances occurred, and the captives were set free through the power of the Holy Spirit. The church went across doing evangelism, from villages to villages, towns to towns, on radio (Obuo Ba FM) and virally.

In no time the church realized that apart from preaching the gospel, they faced the daunting task of hunger, poverty, and illiteracy. To give practical meaning to the biblical teaching of caring for the needy and alleviating the suffering of people, especially the widows and orphans in the church and society.

BELIEFS OF THE CHURCH AND THE STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe that:

{1}  There is but one true and living God who exists eternally in three persons, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. God alone is Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things visible and invisible, at work in the world to redeem creation.

{2}  The eternal son of God, incanate with Jesus of Nazareth, was concieved by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He declared God's Kingdom and embodied that reign in His acts. Having rendered a life of perfect human obedience to the Father, He died on the cross as a vicurious and victorious atonement for sin. In His atoning death and bodily resurrection, Christ opennd the way of rescue from sin and death, reconciling the world to God. Exalted as Lord, He contineus to intercede on behalf of His people.

{3}  The Bible, both Old and New Testaments together, is Holy Scripture. It is the authoritative writen Word of God, Ispired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant in all that it teaches, the one entirly trustworthy rule for faith and life. The teachings of Holy Scripture are apprehended through the careful study of the text in all its dimensions together with prayerful theological reflection, under the guidence of God's Spirit.

{4} Human beings alone, both male and female, are created in the image of God. All people are made to enjoy relationship with God, with one another, and with good creation of whichwe are stewards. Humankind's sinful disobedience has incurred God's judgement, bringing sin, guilt, depravity and misery upon all humanity.

{5} God in mercy and grace redeemes all who repent of their sins and trust Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, justifying them trough faith in the Saviour, restoring their relationship with Him, giving them new life by the Holy spirit, and empowering them for discipleship.

{6} On a day that has been appointed, Jesus Christ will appear again as judge to raise the righteous unto eternal blessing and the unrighteous unto eternal separation from God. He will consummate His kingdom of peace, and His redeemed will enjoy everlasting life, reigning with Christ in the new heavens and the new earth.
